General Design & Usage Notes
- Security
- The system is designed with granular user security. Every user has a
set of authorizations and which tournaments they may access.
- Logging is performed for system access and major functions
- Only "Public Pages" may be accessed outside the system framework. If
you copy an internal page address and reference it directly from the
browser or other source, the page will not be displayed. Except for
"Public Pages", they must be retrieved from an page within the system
and you must be signed in as a user.
- Each tournament is separate. There is no common database of player
information, nor can a user view other tournaments unless they are
authorized.
- Browser
- Frame sets used. This enables a static table of contents.
- Expandable "Table of Contents". Bolded items in the table of
contents are expandable. By clicking on them, any previous expanded
items are collapsed and the clicked item, expands. Only when you click
on a non-bold item, is the item displayed
- If you wish to display a page separately and not within the normal
window frame, right click on the link and select "Open in New Window".
- System Limits
- There is no current limit of the number of players in the player
database. Size is determined by the amount of information entered ie
address, extended address information, etc. Current operating
tournaments have more than 750 players.
- No limits on chart sizes. The only limitation is they must be
defined.
- No limits on number of events or player's per events except chart
availability.
